Hotel description

This intimate boutique hotel in the heart of Rome has been designed down to the smallest detail by its owners, Giuseppe and Charlotte Montani, who have succeeded in creating accommodations among the finest of their kind worldwide. The third floor of a venerable townhouse in the center of the Eternal City provides a platform for this high quality guest house. In addition to appealing designer furniture, the owners have put effort into hand-tailored brand-name fabrics: seat covers, curtains and bedsheets in elegant colors, attractive patterns and smooth materials help to make a stay at the Casa Montain an all-around pleasant experience.
Urban Hotel: Unique & high-class
One clear advantage of this small urban hotel is its fantastic location just across from the Piazza del Popolo, which makes it a great base camp for exploring the city on foot. The Villa Borghese and Spanish steps are just a few minutes walk away, for instance. However, the main perk of living in a historic setting, with the Piazza del Popolo right at your front door, is the feeling of being at the heart of one of the city’s historical hubs. Hotel suites even look out over the Porta del Popolo. In addition to the ideal location, all guest rooms offer modern amenities for the highest comfort after and during sightseeing. All rooms include free wireless, air conditioning, safe, telephone, cable TV, minibar, telephone and brand-name bath products.
Boutique Hotel: 3 rooms & 2 suites
This historic guest house is situated on the 3rd floor of a 100-year old townhouse which has been kept within the family since its construction. Among the 5 guest rooms there are three luxurious double rooms, a Junior Suite and a Suite. With carefully selected designer furniture, brand-name textiles and original contemporary art, all accommodations follow the attractive style of the house while still offering individual perks. The fourth room is particularly romantic, with its artfully carved bedframe. The suite offers an enchanting view of the Piazza le Flaminio and Porta del Popolo, as well as a fine wellness bath with large tub.
Food & Drink: Breakfast in bed
The Casa Montani operates as a classic bed & breakfast, meaning there is no lunch or dinner served at the hotel. A small but delicious and nicely arranged breakfast with hot drink, orange juice, croissants, roll, yogurt and marmalade is delivered to your room in the morning on a tray. For other meals, there are an abundance of restaurants in the nearby area.
Location: Vis à vis Porta del Popolo
The hotel is located just across from the Porta del Popolo, a historic gate which forms the northern entrance to the Piazza del Popolo. The Flaminio-Piazza del Popolo subway station is right before the door. The historical city center, with Rome’s most important sights, is a short walk to the southwest. The Spanish steps and Villa Borghese are both easily reachable on foot within 10 minutes.
