This luxurious resort is nestled within a lush tropical garden and is more reminiscent of a quaint Andalusian village than a hotel. More than 400 trees, shrubs and flowers from around the world adorn the manicured gardens. At the heart of the resort is an ancient Roman bridge, around which the villas - containing the resort’s 266 rooms and suites - are grouped in a wide arc. The intimate character of the Puente Romano Beach Resort & Spa is underlined by the individuality of the rooms, which are decorated in bright earthy colours and warm tones. Each room is unique and designed in a cosy contemporary Mediterranean style, with a high quality finish. The standard double rooms all have a balcony and marble bathroom. The suites feature an enclosed private terrace, pastel décor and separate shower. Ranging in size from 70 to 315 square metres, the grand suites are equipped with up to 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 4 terraces, whirlpool bath and sauna, and feature Egyptian marble, Persian stone walls and Tunisian mosaics. The timeless contemporary feel of the suites is the brainchild of star British designer Andrew Martin. The view from the Penthouse Suite stretches over the Bay of Marbella right to the coast of Africa. The Junior Suite and Deluxe Garden Suite are perfect for families.
Beach Hotel: Between Marbella and Puerto Banús
The hotel offers direct access to the golden sands of the Costa del Sol. The public beach is watched by lifeguards between 08.00 and 20.00, and offers all the necessary amenities. Guests can make use of a beach bar, restaurant, beach club and complimentary hammocks. In addition to swimming, a range of water sports, including sailing and water skiing, is possible. The Puente Romano Beach Resort & Spa offers water sports equipment rental. From the hotel, it is about 3km to the port and beach at Puerto Banús. Head chef Dani Garcia conjures tempting Iberian tapas delights, which are stuffed full of creative ideas and flavours. His tasting menu is especially recommended - an innovative menu featuring the best ingredients, a harmonious interplay of hot and cold dishes, and traditional Andalusian recipes. Breakfast is served in the organic Rachel’s restaurant and consists of hot and cold regional, continental, American and French dishes. It can also be enjoyed in-room or on the terrace on request. The breakfast includes special diet foods, vegan and vegetarian options, and fresh produce from certified organic farms. The Village Plaza area of the hotel features Bibo, a typical Spanish brasserie, and Suite, an Asian fusion restaurant. The Serafina restaurant offers exquisite Italian cuisine with a view of the Roman bridge and garden. Fresh fish and seafood are prepared all-day at the beachside Del Mar and poolside Sea Grill restaurants. Namazake, with its sushi creations, is a popular and hip late-night venue.
