Outside the gates of Verona, about a 20 minute car ride from the city center, lies the Corte Castelletto. This small gem of a country hotel will win guests over with northern Italian charm and service the way you can only find it in small, family-run hotels. Sleek room design, featuring beautiful solid wood furniture beneath rural wood beams, ensures a stylish ambience. The entire building literally sparkles down to the last nook and cranny with absolute cleanliness. Everything is flawlessly taken care of—from the antique beds down to the ceramic tile floors. A total of 18 guest rooms of various sizes are housed at the Corte Castelletto, some of them with three beds for small families. A big plus in summer: an enchanting swimming pool in the courtyard.
Historical Hotel: Original 18th century building
With its ochre façade, hand-forged window grilles and green windowframes, the Corte Castelletto is one of the oldest buildings in the area. Together with the neighboring houses it joins a colorful ensemble of traditional architecture. Built in the 18th century, it has been restored and tended with great attention to detail. Keeping in tone with outer appearance, interior structures such as wood-beamed ceilings, brick door frames and terra cotta floors have been retained. Appropriately, furnishings have been kept almost exclusively in wood, lending a sleek but cozily warm ambience throughout.
