Hotel description
All of the 67 rooms at the Carnival Palace Hotel are equipped with air conditioning and high-quality furniture such as the chairs with leather or silk coatings. The curved designer furniture elegantly blends the baroque age with the modern era. With a charming atmosphere and views over the roofs and canals of Venice, this boutique hotel delights guests from all over the world. Its central and yet quiet location offers relaxation as well as a wide range of culture on your doorstep.
City Hotel: In a central, yet quiet location
Carnival Palace Hotel is located in the historic centre of Venice, within walking distance to the train station and just a few steps from the Riva de Biasio Ferrovia. This part of the Venetian city known as Zona Baia del Re is considered to be a very quiet area within the colourful hustle and bustle of the city. The quiet location of the hotel is also enhanced by one of the few gardens in Venice. In this haven of peace, you can relax after a walking tour of this historic city. From the rooms of the building, you can enjoy views across the garden or on the Canale di Cannaregio, one of the most important channels of Venice, where you can regularly catch sight of the gondoliers at work.
Boutique Hotel: Venetian chic in the heart of the city
For several generations, the Carnival Palace Hotel has been owned by the family Schito-Steiner, who have always given much thought to the selected furnishings. The hotel features an effortless balancing act between authentic Venetian and contemporary design. The rooms feature a stylish and elegant ambiance with modern ornamental wallpapers, but never lose their classic charm thanks to their refined upholstery. Individually-selected fabrics and patterns transform the spacious suites from the Louis XIV era into a modern space. The delicate decorations in gold leaf and silver or murano glass chandeliers complete the design concept in each room. The modern yet magnificent style continues in the well-kept and beautifully designed garden.
4 Star: Spacious luxury suites with marble baths and stylish design
Guests can enjoy splendid views from each of the rooms of the Carnival Palace Hotel. To the one side, the rooms look out across the beautifully designed garden and partly over the roofs of Venice. To the opposite side you will find soothing views of the canal and the passing gondolas. All rooms are equipped with a special ventilation system. This ensures automatic air exchange and so always provides fresh air in the room. The spacious Carrara marble bathrooms are a special highlight. For perfect relaxation, they feature chromotherapy lights and spacious baths with Corian finishings.
Food & Drink: Breakfast buffet and cosy bar in the garden
At the formidable breakfast buffet you will find plenty of local specialities and various fruits from the region. In summer, guests can enjoy their breakfast in the garden. There is a well-stocked bar called "The Mask" which serves an extensive wine menu and freshly mixed cocktails. The drinks can also be ordered in the bar and served either out in the hotel’s garden, at the sidewalk café or directly on the canal. In the surrounding district of the hotel there are several restaurants and bistros, ranging from small snacks to a multiple course menu. There is also the Jewish quarter in the vicinity where you can marvel at elegant synagogues and try tasty kosher food.
Sports & Leisure: A peaceful garden, gondola rides and nearby park
The hotel garden is used not only as shady oasis of tranquillity, or opportunity to sunbathe on the hotel’s sun loungers, but invites you to try a creative cocktail from the bar. The garden is connected to a boat dock, so that you can try an elegant exploration of the city from the water by gondola or boat on the doorstep and glide along the Canale di Cannareggio. In the immediate vicinity of the hotel there are many other entertaining ways to spend your leisure time. Around the hotel, Venetian cafés offer a suitable place to observe the goings-on of the lagoon city whilst you sip a mocha or cappuccino. Proving that Venice still has room for green space between the waterways, the Parco Savorgnan can be found in direct proximity to the hotel. In this park, you can relax on long walks in the countryside and escape from the urban hustle and bustle.
Location: Within walking distance to the train station and St. Mark’s Square
The hotel is located in northwest of Venice, very close to the centre of the city. It is within walking distance from the train station Santa Lucio. To arrive by plane is also easy, from Treviso Airport efficient shuttle buses connect you to Venice and stop at Piazza Roma; about a 10 minutes walk from the hotel. To reach the famous Saint Mark’s Square takes around a 20 minutes’ walk.
