The Hotel Minerva is situated at the edge of Sorrento, just an hour south of Naples, right on the Mediterranean Sea coast. Guests can enjoy the most beautiful views of the town, Vesuvius and the surrounding islands, as well as the 4-star first-class services provided.
Boutique: Mediterranean chic in a historic Italian building
The 1930 built Hotel Minerva has been extensively renovated over the years, whilst still managing to maintain as much as possible of its original architecture. Of the 63 rooms, 52 of them enjoy sea views. All of the rooms have been individually furnished in a Mediterranean style featuring either bright and cheery or more subtle, elegant tones and beautiful colorful tilling. With a private bathroom, air conditioning, hairdryer, satellite TV, mini bar, safe, wireless internet access and a telephone, they provide all the amenities you’d expect for a 4-star stay.
Romantic views: Vesuvius and the Mediterranean Sea
Both from the room balconies, as well as from the hotel terrace that extends directly above the cliffs and the swimming pool, you can enjoy the best views of the whole of Sorrento. When the weather is nice you can even see as far as the Bay of Naples and the islands of Capri and Ischia as well as Vesuvius with the historic cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum. Eating & drinking: Mediterranean cuisine and homemade ice cream
At the Minerva Restaurant guests can enjoy Mediterranean cuisine of fresh seafood and elegantly presented vegetables. Breakfast is served 7-10am, lunch between 12pm and 2.30pm. Evening meals created by the head chef are served from 7pm. Wines to accompany your meal are all produced in the local area, and the sommelier has selected both classics as well as some lesser-known vintages for you to try. The delicious desserts include babà, pastiera, sfogliatella and homemade ice creams and sorbets, all washed down with an unforgettable glass of limoncello! In summer the restaurant opens up its panoramic-view balcony for romantic candlelight dinners. After dinner, step into the Bar Minerva and relax inside or on the terrace with cocktails or other drinks. Live mandoline or piano music can be performed on request.
Sports & leisure: luxury pool and tour of Vesuvius
On the hotel rooftop you’ll find a swimming pool offering views right across the Bay of Naples. Directly below is the sun terrace. A fitness center with Technogym and personal trainer are also provided. If you fancy a day trip out, you can also book yourself onto an organized tour starting at the hotel and taking in Naples, Vesuvius or the surrounding islands.

The Hotel Minerva is located right next to Sorrento, on a peninsula south of Naples. On foot it takes 20 minutes to reach the center of Sorrento. To get to Naples it’s about an hour by car. Vesuvius is also nearby, as are the ancient cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum.
