The Hotel Cort received its name from a square in the heart of the old city center. The Plaza de Cort is Palma’s town square, a sight to see in itself. Situated directly across from the Town Hall, several rooms of the hotel have a view right out onto that beautiful old structure. This small, picturesque plaza is a wonderful base for exploring the city center on foot: shopping, restaurants, the cathedral are all a short walk away. With its magnificently restored façade from the year 1900, the hotel enchants guests with a total of 12 suites, each individually designed in wonderful Scandinavian style. An elegant restaurant with exquisite market-fresh seasonal cuisine is also featured. Between excursions through Palma, guests can enjoy relaxed moments in the jacuzzi on the hotel’s panorama roof, or soak in the old city’s atmosphere with a glass of cava or a cup of tea on the terrace, right next to the giant knotted olive tree which dominates the whole town plaza.

Demanding individualists will be right at home at the Hotel Cort. Well-known interior designer Lazaro Rosa-Violán has put his unmistakable stamp on all common spaces as well as individual accommodations. Much of the original interior architecture has also been maintained and supplemented with fitting elements such as geometric mosaics and elegant lamps in various styles. Countless authentic decorations and accessories lend the restaurant and suites a stylish, lively ambience. Nevertheless, each room and suite is entirely unique in its design, each guaranteeing an absolutely charming stay. One particularity of the hotel is that most rooms can be combined with others, forming an extra-large suite or family-sized accommodations with multiple bedrooms.

Without a doubt, all the rooms at the Hotel Cort are perfectly suited for a romantic trip. Standard amenities include giant king-size beds, pillow sets and chic baths with brand-name bath products from Molton Brown. The flagship suite is the magnificently beautiful Island Suite, which stretches out over two floors and includes a private terrace. On the rooftop there is an enchanting public terrace with an outdoor jacuzzi and spectacular panorama view of the old city center and cathedral, as well as the ocean and mountains.
Food & Drink: Breakfast à la carte & the finest Mediterranean cuisine
A design concept focused on quality and authenticity fits perfectly with Hotel Cort’s culinary offerings. Each morning, a delicious breakfast of fresh island products is served. Depending on the weather, breakfast is either served in the elegantly decked-out restaurant dining room or outside on the hotel terrace with a view of the giant, ancient olive tree. For lunch and dinner, the restaurant serves seasonal Mediterranean cuisine which places quality over quantity. Almost exclusively island products end up on the plate in as authentic a form as possible. The overall experience of an elegant salon ambience with cozy sofa niches and delicious food is a pleasure every time, drawing in many outside guests. The restaurant and terrace with its well-known olive tree is one of the most popular meeting places in the city for locals and tourists alike. Since business is always booming, it is recommended to reserve a table, particularly for dinner.

The hotel is situated in the pedestrian zone of the old city center, near the Town Hall. It is very peaceful and yet central here, with lots of interesting sights in the neighborhood. For example, the cathedral, which can be seen from some rooms, is just a few hundred yards’ walk away. Same goes for the harbor of Palma, also worth a visit.
