The Hotel Can Cera is housed inside a typical Majorcan stately home from the 17th century. This old family palace changed owners quite often, and as such received numerous conversions over the course of its history. Today, the building shines with a new splendour after its most recent extensive refurbishment and renovation. The highlights include magnificent arcades, a typical Majorcan patio with a large Kentia palm tree and numerous other plants, large rooms with high ceilings and romantic balconies. The impressive original marble staircase leads guests to the upper floors.
Boutique Hotel: Palatial ambiance and contemporary art
The interior of the hotel features palatial grandeur with its painted terracotta tiles. This historic house is adorned with contemporary art which has been incorporated into the design in a sophisticated manner. A total of 12 rooms are simply and elegantly decorated and each have an individual style. As a special touch, antique furniture pieces and elements like thick pile carpet runners have been added. Location: Central, but quiet in the historic centre of Palma
As the hotel is situated directly in the old town of Palma, the main sights of the island capital of Mallorca are within walking distance; including the Gothic Cathedral La Seu and also the Central Square of Plaza de España. There is also an abundance of shops and cinemas in the neighbourhood. A tip is to take a ride on the Soller Train, starting from the Plaza de España and going up into the Tramuntana Mountains, it also starts in the village of Soller and Port de Soller. The guests have the possibility to book a shuttle for a small fee, which transports them to the airport about 12 miles away from the hotel.
