Design Hotel
Neo-Gothic showmanship contrasts with minimalistic Bauhaus design in 34 individually designed rooms, the gothic elements of the building, such as ceilings up to 6m high, stucco window frames, sacral arches and columns are skillfully combined with vintage design classics, photographs e.g. by Stefan Heyne, Roxanne Lowit or George Holz and iconic designer furniture from the 20th century, among others by Charles and Ray Eames, Arne Jacobsen and Mies van der Rohe, the bathrooms’ tiles are the same as those of the Paris Metro, and some of the furniture was designed especially for the hotel by Michael Kaune
Historic Hotel
Elegant neo-Gothic style building next to the imposing St Gereon Church, from 1897 to 1971, the Cologne city archives were housed in the listed building, designed by the architect, Friedrich Carl Heimann, in the sacral style of a monastery church
