Wonderful tranquillity and plenty of opportunities to spend time together, the rooms at the Waldhaus are spacious and cosy, all have a sitting area for chatting and many rooms have a balcony or loggia, for a nice evening for two we recommend the hotel restaurant with a great emphasis on fresh, local produce, it serves only homemade, even the breakfast rolls are homemade, the hotel also has a very well stocked wine cellar

A chic spa area, the highlight of which is the panoramic pool with sun terrace and stunning views of the Sauerland mountains, inside there is a 12 m swimming pool, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering stunning views of the surrounding countryside, the spa also includes a Finnish sauna and steam bath in a rustic log cabin, massages and beauty treatments complete the spa experience

Situated in the heart of the Sauerland's Rothaargebirge nature reserve, overlooking the Kahler Asten mountain range, the hotel is surrounded by wooded mountains, fields and herb meadows and is an ideal starting point for walks through the beautiful countryside, the small town of Winterberg is only a few kilometres away
