Hotel description
This little gem in Ferreries on the Spanish island of Minorca is run and directed with a lot of passion by its owner Stéphanie Mahé. A lovely historic bed & breakfast place, the romantic hotel comprises six guestrooms in a brilliantly restored village house dating back to the year of 1844. Great place to stay in terms of both looks and service!
The Ses Sucreres hotel in Minorca
Ferreries is a small town in the island’s center that has maintained its original charm. The small hotel is located centrally in one of the town’s narrow cobblestoned alleys lined by shining white buildings. This serene white-wall-feel so typical of the Mediterranean countries also dominates the inside of the house, which is equipped with a nostalgic mix of furniture and well chosen pieces of art. There is a communal lounge with an open fireplace to put up your feet. And for summer days and evenings, there is a small but very nice roof terrace to sit an overlook a sea of pale red rooftops and the mountains beyond.
The rooms
Named after the color of their entrance doors the six guestrooms at Ses Sucreres offer beautiful, serene and airy ambiances. Each of them has a wooden or ceramic floor and features an en-suite bathroom in the same attractive Mediterranean style. Room sizes range between 20 and 37 sqm. Two of them can accommodate families with up to 3 children under 12 years.
Service and atmosphere
What’s so very special about this bed & breakfast place is the personalized guest service and the typical atmosphere. The owner Stéphanie takes care of just everything one might wish for. And what’ even better, she knows a lot about Minorca and will share some information you would be hard pressed to find in a travel guide!
