5 Star Hotel: Sumptuous ambience and impeccable service
The hotel, built in the style of an Art Nouveau palace, was established in 1910 in the famous parkland attached to the nearby historic Villa Carlotta. The 75 Prestige and Deluxe rooms have either lake or garden views, and feature sophisticated, elegant furnishings in predominantly pastel tones, with plenty of gold touches and antique pieces. The hotel also includes a series of luxurious ’Historic’ suites - including Greta, Honeymoon Suite Maria, Aurelia, Emilia and Carlotta - each named in tribute to female celebrities who either lived here or stayed as a guest. Separately, the 8 rooftop suites on the hotel’s 5th floor feature a private terrace with breathtaking panoramic views of the lake and a heated outdoor whirlpool. With the rooftop floor, Italian designer Venelli Kramer successfully managed to achieve a unique symbiosis between contemporary design and Belle Époque style. Generously sized marble bathrooms and a butler service are among the exclusive extras available to guests staying in the rooftop suites.
