The biggest attraction around the hotel is Lake Constance, a mere few minutes’ walk away. In the summer, a public beach about a half-mile from the hotel is available for swimming.

The Boutique Hotel Friesinger lies in the heart of the town of Kressbronn, on the northeastern shore of Lake Constance. The train station is a 2 minute walk away. Parking spots are available at the door.
Lovers of fine dining and private getaways in small hotels will be fully contented with the Hotel Friesinger. In a recently completely renovated villa several minutes’ walk from the shore of Lake Constance, five guest rooms and a gourmet restaurant, "Meersalz" [Sea Salt], are housed. This spectacular villa was built in the early 20th century by a long-established Kressbronner family of masons, then converted into the current hotel/restaurant in 2010/11. One of its highlights is a beautiful garden; if the weather is nice, guests can sit outside and eat there.

Rooms in the Boutique Hotel Friesinger are furnished in a modern, sleek style. Huge comfortable beds and shapely furniture classics rest on fishbone or straight wood flooring. Understated patterned wallpaper, contemporary art and fragrant cotton bed sheets ensure an individual, personalized tone. Plus, each room is equipped with a modern bathroom. Here as well as in the kitchen only vitalizing water is used, prepared according to the Grander method. Each room offers its own additional extra, such as a sitting area in the garden (Le Jardin), a chic marble bathroom with designer tub (Marble Suite), or a balcony (Ballroom).
Cooking courses: At the stove with the chef
Through a glass wall, guests can observe the cooking staff of Restaurant "Meersalz" at work. This heightens the level of anticipation, and perhaps also has some teaching value. But the best way to learn is to book a cooking class with hotel and kitchen chef Erik Essink, where you will be initiated into the delicious seasonal cuisine of the house. By the way, the kitchen uses sea salt exclusively. That much can be revealed.

Delicious breakfast starts the day at the Boutique Hotel Friesinger, served either in the intimate dining room of the adjacent restaurant or by the garden pond beneath tall, old linden trees. Restaurant service starts each day at 3 pm. The hotel’s chef himself assures the quality of each dish. Guests have the choice between a daily-rotating surprise menu and a small but exquisite fixed menu. Since the restaurant is already quite beloved in the area despite only being around a short time, an early reservation is recommended.
