Here, a centuries-old Black Forest house meets modern room design, top-class wellness meets wild, romantic nature. You will immediately feel at home in this wonderful mix of old and new. Located in the southern Black Forest, this luxurious boutique hotel has 64 rooms, suites and special family rooms. The 70,000 sqm grounds leave nothing to be desired: In addition to the fantastic spa area, there is also a small lake and a park to relax in. Lovers of history and design will also feel right at home: Owned by the same family since 1446 (and now in its 16th generation!), the hotel not only has a vibrant history behind it, but with its freshly renovated rooms and the wonderful Genusspension, it also has a lot ahead of it.

Rest and relaxation: wellness at its best

Those who choose the climatic health resort of Hinterzarten for their stay in the Black Forest are looking for relaxation and tranquillity. The Wellness Pavilion with its outdoor area is just the place. Covering 1,800 sqm, it features heated indoor and outdoor pools, whirlpools, a sauna area and a state-of-the-art gym. The spa area "PureWellness | Christine Homburger" offers a range of spa treatments, and the spa area is also home to Sylke Henkel's hair salon.

Black Forest House: All about pleasure

Stay overnight or dine in the historic Black Forest house or on the terrace outside. Here you will find the restaurant "Adler Stuben" with five rooms in different styles. Baden delicacies and international specialities are served, always creatively interpreted by head chef and spice sommelier Bernhard König and his team. Wherever possible, ingredients are sourced from regional farms with sustainable production methods. The wine collection is also impressive, with 120 wines on offer. These can be enjoyed either in the restaurant or in the designer lobby with bar and conservatory. A big plus for connoisseurs: Many services are included in the room rate. For example, you can enjoy the gourmet buffet in the morning, the buffet lunch, tea time in the design lobby and the multi-course dinner in the Adler Stuben restaurant at no extra charge. The minibar is also replenished daily free of charge.

Family holidays at their best

Unusually for a luxury hotel of this calibre, families are among the most popular guests here, and the hotel does a lot to keep them that way: From sleeping and play areas in the family suites and rooms, to the Eagle's Nest indoor play area, the teen chill lounge with big screen and games console, to the adventure playground and wildlife enclosure on the large grounds. Children up to the age of 6 stay free of charge. There are also plenty of extras such as child-sized bathrobes, special meals in the restaurant and spa treatments for all ages.

It's not for nothing that the Black Forest is a classic holiday destination, with winding mountain roads, gorges, valleys and traditional farms all within easy reach of the hotel. If you prefer things a little quieter, take a stroll through Freiburg's old town. You can even spend a day swimming in the Titisee and Schluchsee lakes. Hiking, mountain biking, Nordic walking and cross-country skiing trails start right outside the hotel. Mountain bikes and bicycles can be hired from the hotel free of charge, subject to availability. Guests of the Parkhotel Adler can also use the 18-hole golf course of the Hochschwarzwald Golf Club free of charge, just a few minutes' drive away.
