The history of the Torre Zumeltzegi goes back almost 500 years. Parts of the current building date from the early 16th century. The massive tower building, with its ground floor walls almost two meters thick, was once the living quarters and fortress of the Count of Oñati. Still today, this solid structure with its small windows gives the impression of being unconquerable. All this only adds to the charm of the elegant, comfortable interior, which could not be more inviting. High quality wood floors and warm grey and brown tones engender a feeling of modern coziness. An all-round pleasant stay is guaranteed by contemporary facilities including flatscreen, Wlan and glass-walled shower.

In addition to the obligatory café con leche, there are tostadas, sweet pastries, cheese, sausage and yogurt and fresh-pressed orange juice. For lunch and dinner, the hotel restaurant offers a selection of several delicious full menus on a panorama terrace. Additionally, an Honesty Bar is available for all guests to serve themselves. Bills are calculated on an honor policy.
