The 4 star hotel Monnàber Vell is situated in a small, peaceful valley of the Tramuntana mountains in the Campanet region of Northern Majorca. Formerly a monastery, today a romantic hotel, the Monnàber Vell has maintained its original Mallorcan country house charm. This historic hotel on Mallorca is situated in the middle of a vast and untouched natural area, ideal for hiking or bike tours. If you head west you will reach the fertile plain "Es Pla de Mallorca" with the Sa Pobla agricultural center and the wine producing region around Petra. In the north, just under 18 km away, you will find the bays of Pollença and Alcudia where there are white sandy beaches and secluded bathing areas.
The Monnàber Vell hotel
The country house hotel Monnàber Vell was built in the traditional Mallorcan style and radiates a cozy atmosphere of a quaint old farmhouse. The wonderful mountainous backdrop all around this Majorca hotel completes the charm of the monastery. This property was first officially recorded in the 13th century but it is most likely to be much older so it is without doubt an historic hotel which has lots of stories to tell about the history of Mallorca. The property gained its present character in the 17th century and only in 2005 when it was renovated was it turned into a romantic hotel. As in former times sheep still graze around the farmhouse even today. Pigs are also kept here too. The animals nicely round off the idyllic picture of this country house hotel.
