When arriving at Elounda, the first view from the hilltop is a panorama of the Bay of Mirabello, where the foreground is dominated by the porto elounda Golf & Spa Resort and the green expanse of its golf course. Designed with respect to the architectural tradition of the land, this unique complex is an oasis of recreation comprised of the hotel, the village square with shopping arcade, and numerous restaurants and bars.

The private-pool villas have either two or three bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom. Featuring a spacious living room, an indoor as well as an outdoor dining area in its own garden with a seawater swimming pool. All rooms, suites and villas face the sea and have air-conditioning/heating, mini-bar, TV, safe deposit box and hairdryer. The en-suite marble bathroom has music from the TV and a telephone in line with the room. Verandahs and terraces are furnished with superbly comfortable teak furniture and are surrounded by blooming planters.
Breakfast and table d’hôte dinner are served in the ‘Nafsika’ restaurant, with wonderful views across the bay. During summer, Mediterranean and Cretan à la carte dining is available in the olive grove of ‘Elies’ restaurant, while lunch is served in high season, at ‘Odysseus’ tavern, right on the water’s edge, with a selection of fresh seafood and Greek dishes.
The Kirki Bar, with its delightful views across the bay, is the perfect place for aperitifs and cocktails, while the beautiful Beach Bar is in a swinging mood with drinks and snacks served throughout the day.
Behind the “Blue Flag”-awarded sandy private beach lies "Playiada", a Greek village square covered by a robust wooden pergola. It is the ideal location for taking shade during the day and for theme festivities in the evening. A variety of boutiques, including jewelers, fashion and beach wear, as well as an art gallery and souvenir shop are to be found there, not to mention the lovely Chapel of Prophet Elias.

Supervised by experienced coaches, there are jet-skis, windsurfing, water-skiing, and sailing activities. Luxury yachts are also available for charter, with a range of excursions or tailor-made itineraries offered. The PADI certified scuba diving center teaches and awards diplomas up to the highest levels of proficiency. The crystal clear waters and rock formations of the bay, home to fascinating flora and fauna, are considered amongst the finest to be found in Greece.
