All of the 249 rooms, bungalows and suites of the resort hotel are built on a low hill directly on the sea. The structures are built from natural stone and most of them feature sea views. Some of the bungalows and luxury suites also have a private pool. The hotel’s three restaurants and bars pamper guests with international cuisine and Cretan specialties. The hotel’s Aura Spa offer guests pure relaxation with sauna, massages and beauty treatments.
Beach Hotel: From one’s room directly into the sea
The Ikaros Beach Luxury Resort & Spa Hotel has its own private, gently sloping sandy beach, to which there is direct access from the hotel. The beach are sun loungers, umbrellas, sanitary facilities, a restaurant and a beach bar. 80% of the rooms and bungalows enjoy fantastic views of the crystal clear, blue waters of the Aegean. The Star Beach Water Park, with water sports for the whole family, is 7 km from the hotel and is connected by a free shuttle.
Spa Hotel: Aura Spa, sauna and massages
The Aura Spa, under the direction of Anne Semonin, is a special highlight of the Ikaros Beach Luxury Resort & Spa. Here hydrotherapy and aromatherapy are offered by experienced therapists with specially prepared natural essences for face and body treatments. The free Finnish sauna and various health treatments such as full body, Asian-style and foot reflex zone massages offer guests luxurious relaxation. The beauty and hair salon offer facial and anti-aging treatments, scrubs, pedicures and manicures. A fitness center with modern sports equipment completes the hotel’s facilities. On request, a personal trainer can be booked for a fee.
5-Star Hotel: Nature, cultural excursions and luxurious atmosphere
The spacious grounds of the hotel maintain an intimate atmosphere and offer the opportunity to spend the day at the hotel’s own pool. In addition, there are 2 large and 2 smaller outdoor pools with poolside bar as well as a heated indoor pool. Children have the choice between 2 swimming pools, a playground, a games room and a children’s club. All rooms are double rooms and have views of either the sea or garden. Bungalows are available in the categories Classic, with a Jacuzzi, or Deluxe, overlooking the sea. The junior suites all offer sea views and a private pool. Some of the rooms and bungalows are equipped for families, and they all have either a balcony or a private terrace. From the hotel, guests can go swimming in the sea, go on excursions to explore the cultural past of Crete or pamper themselves in the hotel spa. In the evening, the à la carte restaurant Ayeri offers first-class culinary delights. Both breakfast and lunch or dinner is included in the price of the room.
Food & Drink: Breakfast buffet, beach bar and Mediterranean cuisine
The Ikaros Luxury Resort & Spa offers a total of six dining establishments within the hotel complex. In the main restaurant guests can feast on hearty buffets with local and international specialties in the morning, afternoon and at night. The beach restaurant Ouzeri provides light snacks from 10 o’clock and local specialties, from seafood to grilled dishes, from 12-4 p.m. In the evening, the stylish à la carte restaurant Ayeri opens its doors and offers freshly prepared Mediterranean cuisine with Cretan products and an excellent wine list. A pianist or DJ provides a lively musical backdrop. The beach bar Daedolos on the hotel’s own beach is open until 6 p.m. in the high season, and the lobby garden bar is open from 5 p.m. until after midnight for night owls. During the day, guests can relax at the Aeolos Pool Bar with a cool drink.

The 800 square metre spa offers a Finnish sauna and massages, as well as a wide range of beauty treatments, hydrotherapy and aromatherapy. Those looking for more than swimming, sunbathing and relaxing can also play tennis or billiards on the hotel grounds. A modern gym is available for guests to maintain their daily workout, and an 18-hole golf course is about 15 km away. There is a free activity programme for children. In the Star Beach Water Park, guests can try their hand at water skiing, banana boating, parasailing, scuba diving and snorkeling, and the hotel offers a free shuttle there. Culture lovers can take excursions to the Palace of Knossos, the picturesque village of Agios Nikolaos or to the nearby Lassithi Plateau. Crete’s capital of Heraklion, with its many attractions, is just 35 km away. The historic old town of Malia can easily be reached by foot. The city also offers attractive shopping and a nightlife district.

The hotel and sandy beach is located on the outskirts of the city and the resort town of Malia on the large bay of Malia in Crete. From the resort, the international airport of Heraklion is about 33 km away.
