The Hotel Regina Adelaide on the northern Italy Lake Garda gracefully blends tradition and modernity. The hotel, located directly in the village of Garda, was originally built in 1900 in the tradition of Art Nouveau. This is evident in its curved lines which are pronounced in the elegant lobby as well as in the charming rooms. The hotel is run by the third generation of the family Tedeschi, who have been upholding this establishment´s class since 1964. The lobby bar, "The American Bar, " is a highlight of the hotel with its period furniture and open fireplace.
A Lakeside Hotel: Lake and pool swimming options
Walking the few metres from the hotel to Lake Garda, guests will pass through an intimate green space with shady trees. Upon reaching the waterfront, one can stroll leisurely along the lake shore and visit the boat dock. Also relaxing as a scenic view, the lake and surrounding area are viewable from the hotel´s balconies and terraces, which also allow guests to fully enjoy the fresh lake air. Food & Beverage: An exquisite buffet breakfast, gourmet cuisine, and 300 types of wine
In the mornings, a fine breakfast buffet is served in the restaurant Regina Adelaide. In pleasant weather, guests can enjoy delicious snacks and freshly prepared pastries on the hotel´s terrrace overlooking Lake Garda. The general kitchen, which is under the direction of award-winning chef Andrea Costantini, is highly reputed. The chef is responsible for both of the hotel´s restaurants - the Regina Adelaide acclaimed for its innovative menu and the Regio Patio for its gourmet selection. Only the freshest ingredients are used, with both restaurants also offering vegetarian options. Guests dining at the Regina Adelaide can select from numerous starters and four main courses which vary seasonally, whereas in the Regio Patio, the chef Andrea Costantini offers à la carte creations for food lovers. In the Regio Patio, beauty is to behold in the trompe l’oeil frescoes of the lake, an elegant backdrop for the delicacies served here such as Filet Café de Paris. To complement the cuisine, the hotel offers 300 Italian wines which are housed in a walk-in wine cellar, led by the director Stefano Barbieri and sommelier Alexandra Marcher. The hotel´s pastry kitchen is personally run by Mrs. Annalisa, whose carefully prepared pastries, pies and jams are also sold in the Konditoreo I Dolci della Regina. For light snacks, drinks and lounging, the hotel´s American Bar provides a cosy atmosphere with its period furniture, fireplace and terrace.
Sports & Leisure: A modern gym and indoor and outdoor pools
For guests wishing to stay in shape while on vacation, the hotel offers a modern gym, with the possibility of hiring a personal trainer upon request. For swimming, there is an indoor pool of 80 square metres, and during pleasant weather - guests can enjoy the large outdoor swimming pool (290 square metres) which is situated in the hotel´s garden and surrounded with sun loungers, parasols and lush vegetation. There are also swimming beaches on Lake Garda which are nearby and can be easily reached on foot. In addition, there is a golf course just two kilometres away. The mountainous area around the lake is also lends itself to hiking and mountain biking.
Location: Overlooking the lake and still centrally located
The Hotel Regina Adelaide is located in the centre of Garda, on a side street of the village. Right next to the hotel is the main promenade of Garda, where guests can take long walks along the lake shore. Some of the hotel´s rooms look out directly over the lake or the park, others have views of the historic centre of Garda. For those guests looking for entertainment off of the hotel´s premises, it is only a short distance to nightclubs, bars, shopping and various dining establishments and restaurants.
