The Hotel Helmhaus was first mentioned in the history books as an inn in 1356, and the 650-year-old tradition of hospitality continues today at a high level. The Helmhaus Hotel is in a prime location, close to the Grossmünster, in the middle of Zurich’s historical centre. Lake Zurich is only a stone’s throw away. Many sights can be reached in a radius of a few 100 meters: the Bahnhofstrasse shopping mile; the Opera House; and the picturesque streets of the old town in Niederdorf. A tram stop is located just 100 metres away from the hotel, which can be used to reach Zurich’s main train station in a few stops (1 km away). There are regular shuttle buses that run between Zurich’s airport (12 km away) and the main city hotels, including the Hotel Helmhaus.
