The 25 air-conditioned rooms and suites are placed within the former cells of the monastery and decorated in the rural and rustic style - some also have a hydro-massage shower. Historic Hotel: Former monastery from the 18th century
The Hotel El Convent de Begur was once a monastery. It was built in 1730 and you can still observe elements from its original use - the monastery cells were preserved during the renovation and have been converted into hotel rooms. The rooms capture the spirit of the past based on the simple way of life once lived by the monks which inhabited them: they’re all built with traditional stone floors designed and equipped with simple, rustic wooden furniture. The reddish-brown terracotta tiles in the bathrooms create a pleasant atmosphere. The preservation of the original walls help to form a special ambiance throughout the hotel which makes for an unforgettable holiday.
