For anyone who loves classic luxury in old-world style, the Hostal de la Gavina is literally a place to strike gold. The interior spaces of the whole hotel are presented in an elegant, magnificent style with a Mediterranean touch. The ambience ranges from nostalgic to antique and features modern influences at the right spots. On top of that, service is thoroughly professional, provided by staff in charming uniforms. The waiter in livery, the page with a cap and the maid service in fitting outfits. This is the icing on the cake for its refined atmosphere. But it is not only exterior qualities which shine: service is committed and extremely friendly and helpful throughout.
Historical hotel: 80 years of first-class hotel service
The main building of the Hostal de la Gavina was built in the year 1922. A few years later, the other buildings followed. The whole ensemble, as it stands today, is more than 80 years old. The only exception is the stunning panorama pool, which was only put in later. At least as old as the hotel is the beautiful park facilities with their wooded areas, featuring some significantly older trees. Fitting with its history, the hotels is outfitted with hand-picked furniture ranging across the last eight decades. Overall, everything joins together to create a harmonious whole which does not feel over-styled in its details, but rather very natural. Patterned silk wallpaper, gold-layered bed frames, furniture in baroque, art deco and fifties styles harmonize surprisingly well with the modern flatscreen on the wall!
Food & Drink: Gourmet cuisine by candlelight
Each day begins with a lavishly laid out breakfast buffet with something every taste. When the weather is nice, guests can sit outside on the terrace in the morning sunlight. For lunch, snacks and light dishes are served directly by the pool. For dinner, two restaurants are available to choose from: the restaurant Garbí, a gourmet restaurant focusing on fine Spanish cuisine, and the restaurant Candlelight, which serves classic Mediterranean gourmet cuisine in the romantic setting of a courtyard garden around a fountain.

Hotel facilities include an elegant outdoor pool with a view of the ocean and an exclusive hotel spa with swimming pool, sauna, hammam, whirlpool, fitness room and a beauty and massage area.
