Since 2009, the restaurant Els Brancs at the Hotel Vistabella has been run by Javier Cabrera, who leads a very motivated and creative team. In 2013, the young team was awarded its first Michelin star. The focus of the innovative Mediterranean cuisine is fresh, local ingredients and modern cooking methods. Beautifully presented, and accompanied by excellent wines and a magical sunset over the sea, dining here is an experience for all the senses.

An elegant, summery 5-star sense of luxury lends the Hotel Vistabella its unique charm. Some of the rooms are furnished in a classic Mediterranean style; others are more trendy and avant-garde. A very friendly and competent team of staff, not just in the award-winning restaurant, but everywhere, rounds off a stay perfectly. The most luxuriously appointed rooms are the Special Rooms and Junior Suites which, in addition to all the standard amenities, also feature fantastic sea views, a hydro-massage bath in the bathroom, a stereo system, home cinema, coffee maker and a furnished terrace. The undisputed highlight is the Penthouse Suite with its huge luxury bathroom and a fabulous private terrace.
Beach hotel: Just some steps down to the beach
The hotel Vistabella has a slightly elevated location on a promontory on the border between two beaches. From the hotel grounds there is direct access to the small, very quiet Bonifaci beach. Two large, popular city beaches (Almadrava and Canyelles Petites) are just a few minutes’ walk away. Directly on the beach you’ll find the hotel’s Pirata Beach Club, a mix of restaurant, grill and beach bar.
Food & drink: Variety of food, good wine and delicious cocktails
A day at the Vistabella starts with an absolutely gorgeous breakfast buffet on the sea view terrace. In addition to the gourmet restaurant and the Beach Club guests at the hotel can also visit the Balcó de Mar serving regional cuisine, a tapas restaurant and an open-air lounge bar with sun beds and direct sea views.
Leisure & sport: Art, nature & wellness
The small Catalan town of Roses is surrounded by several nature reserves that are all worth a day trip. Among them are Cap de Creus and the marshes of Aiguamolls de l’Empordà. Art lovers should take a trip to the Dali Museum in Figueres and Dali’s house in Port Lligat is a must. The hotel itself has a small wellness center with sauna, steam room, indoor pool and jacuzzi as well as a small range of massages and beauty treatments.
