    The Excelsior Palace Hotel stands majestically on a rock overlooking the Bay of Rapallo on the Riviera di Levante, about 30 km south-east of Genoa. Most of its rooms overlook the marina, the sea and the bay of Rapallo or Portofino. Moreover, both inside and out, it exudes the irresistible charm of a true grand hotel with a long tradition.

    The Excelsior Palace is unmistakably one of those first-class hotels from the early days when the small harbour town was a popular seaside resort for the rich and famous some 100 years ago. Situated in an enviable location, the hotel has managed to retain much of the atmosphere of those days, while incorporating modern services and comforts into the venerable building. These include a Beauty Spa Health with a la carte wellness treatments, two infinity pools and terraced jacuzzis. There are also two hotel restaurants for dining and the Yachting Bar for chic cocktails in an elegant, historic setting. In summer, the hotel's Beach Club opens with the chic Sporting Bar - a sun terrace with sunbeds and a designated swimming area in a rocky bay.
