Located on a quiet side street in Madrid´s centre, The Eric Vökel Boutique Apartments - Atocha Suites offer its guests a serene place to come back "home". With views out onto the city´s bustling streets, all of the 24 apartments also have fully equipped kitchens, with plenty of options for relaxing right on the premises. Guests can lounge in the hotel´s private garden or take a dip in the large, 20 sqm outdoor swimming pool which is open year-round.
An Apartment Hotel: Comfort and cosiness in the centre of Madrid
Each boutique apartment consists of a double bedroom, a dining room with a fully equipped kitchen and a separate bathroom. The kitchen appliances include a high quality electric stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and a Nestlé coffee maker. Some of the apartments also feature a balcony or terrace from which guests can look out onto the centre of Madrid. The Suites´ central location provides guests easy access to some of the top attractions of the Spanish capital. Nevertheless, the apartments are tucked into a quiet side street and the Suites´ spacious, tranquil outdoor grounds make for a welcomed contrast against the vibrant, dynamic city.

The 23 apartments are modern and stylishly furnished – though the classic interior design with white walls and muted colors creates a cosy and charming atmosphere. The fully equipped kitchen is outfitted with high quality electrical appliances and designer touches. All apartments are equipped with air conditioning, free WiFi and a TV with international channels. In the bathroom, fresh towels, a hairdryer and toiletries are provided. In addition, a lift, a free safe and free luggage storage for guests are available.
A City Hotel: Centrally located and service around the clock
While the Suites pride itself on its complete renovation in 2013, the 23 apartments of The Eric Vökel Atocha Suites are also highly distinguished because of their ideal location. Guests are virtually in the middle of the Art Triangle, just a few minutes’ walk from the Museo del Prado, Museo Reina Sofía and Parque de Retiro. The reception staff is multilingual and provides service around the clock.
Food & Beverage: Dinners in and dinners on the town just outside the front door
Guests can prepare their own meals and pour their own wine in the well-equipped, designer kitchens of the Suites´ 23 apartments. A supermarket is located within walking distance, and of course being so centrally located - there is a large number of international restaurants and bars nearby.

Guests can unwind in the Suites´ garden or in its outdoor pool. Nearby guests can enjoy numerous sports and leisure facilities such as bowling, a fitness center and an indoor swimming pool. Madrid is easily explored by bike, with bicycle rental shops also nearby. In the evenings, guests can choose from a plethora of bars and entertainment options, as well as a wide range of dining options in the vicinity. Culture lovers can visit numerous museums, such as the Museo del Prado with its renowned collection of Spanish paintings. The wax museum Museo de Cera is also a popular destination. The famous opera house Teatro Real is worth a visit if only to marvel at its architecture.
Location: Close access to Madrid’s central landmarks and public transport
Only a few minutes away from the hotel is the Metro station Atocha. From here, guests can easily use the public transport to reach the most beautiful places in the city: the Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol and Gran Vía. The Puerta de Atocha railway station is a 5-minute walk away, and the sprawling Parque del Retiro can be reached in 7 minutes on foot - the perfect place to relax after a day of sightseeing. The Museo Reina Sofia is 10 minutes away on foot, as is the Museo del Prado. From the Suites, guests can take advantage of a direct connection to two subway lines, as well as several bus lines and even a night line.
