Casona indiana – otherwise known as Indian villas – were the name given to the stately homes in northern Spain belonging to migrants that had returned home from America having made their fortunes there in the early 20th century. The Casona de La Paca in the Asturian town of Cudillero is a grand example of one of these homes. Behind its bright red façade with wrought-iron balconies and large French windows, today’s bed & breakfast offers a total of 19 rooms with different sizes and amenities. All around the main house and a smaller, but equally historic, separate building, you’ll find a beautiful garden with well-kept hedges, leafy plants and old trees. You’ll always be able to find a sunny, or shady, spot here for reading or just enjoying the peace and quiet.

The Casona de La Paca is intrinsically linked to the history of the local region. There are plenty of daytrip options from the Casona de La Paca to the nearby mountains or along the Cantabrian coast. The historic town center of Cudillero is also a nice place for a stroll. At the end of a busy day, relax with a glass of wine in the garden in the summer or by the fireplace in the winter.

The Casona de La Paca is situated on a large area of land separated from a small country road by a wall, hedges and flowers, south-east of Cudillero. A car is essential for getting around. The town center of Cudillero is around 1km away.
