The Emblemático San Agustin Hotel is an oasis of tranquillity and is well suited for a romantic getaway for two. Is the hotel in a historic building that has been lovingly restored in traditional Canarian style. The cosy inner courtyard - the ’Canarian patio’ - is the heart of the building, with a fountain, palm trees and many plants. The small hotel distinguishes itself by its intimate atmosphere. Dark Canary wood ceilings and floors lend a unique charm to the rooms. Two wide beds (total width 210 cm, length 200 cm), as well as a selection of different pillows, ensure a restful night’s sleep. A small lounge on the first floor of the hotel invites guests to read and relax. Chocolate bars are available here for guests.
Historical: Renovated 17th-century building in Canarian-style
The historic building from the early 17th century was completely renovated in keeping with the traditional style, with lots of wood. The typical Canarian dark wooden ceiling, floors and stairs stand out beautifully from the bright white walls. Inspired by Moorish architecture, some wooden elements are decorated with colorful tiles. On the first floor, a covered wooden balcony with a railing decorated with blue tiles runs around the picturesque inner courtyard.

The hotel management attaches great importance to personal and attentive care of the hotel guests: you should feel right at home and will be greeted on arrival with a glass of wine or a soft drink. The 8 rooms are individually and comfortably furnished, and the room sizes vary between 18 and 24 square meters. All rooms are equipped with a modern white marble bathroom with multi-jet massage shower and Aloe Vera bath products. Facilities also include a LED television with satellite channels and free Wi-Fi. 6 Rooms are grouped around the cozy patio, and 2 of the rooms face the street.

The extensive, tasty breakfast is included in the room rate and is served in the cafeteria in the courtyard of the building. Every morning, the "San Agustin breakfast" offers a wide range of high quality food, including different types of bread, croissants, cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, eggs in different preparations, cheese, ham, sausage, and a variety of cakes and sweet treats. In addition to coffee and tea, fresh orange juice is also served. During the day, the cafeteria has snacks and drinks on offer. The Centre of Icod de los Vinos offers many eateries, for example the tapas bar "Akepikas" in the pedestrian zone near the dragon tree, the symbol of the town.
Sports & Recreation: Historical centre, black sand beach, 18-hole golf course and a trip to the Teide
The main attraction of Icod de los Vinos is the reportedly 1,000-year-old dragon tree on the western edge of the village. Right next to it is the 15th century Iglesia de San Marcos church, with its impressive Renaissance portal. Also in the vicinity is the lava cave Cueva del Viento (3.5 km), which can be explored by taking a cave tour. Swimming is possible at the small black sand beach of San Marcos (3 km). For golfers, there is an 18-hole golf course located right on the coast in Buenavista (18 km). The Centre of Puerto de la Cruz (20 km) offers many entertainment and shopping options. As well as the famous sea-water swimming pools, the well-known animal and amusement park ’Loro Parque’ is also located here. For nature lovers, a trip up Pico del Teide (62 km), the highest mountain in Spain, offers hikers the opportunity to cross different vegetation zones.

The hotel is located in the heart of the town of Icod de los Vinos in the green north west of Tenerife on a small road which can be used by cars only to a limited extent. Hotel guests have free parking in public parking garage approx. 250 metres away. Due to its location in the historic town center, with narrow streets and cobblestones, all the town’s attractions are only a few steps away. In addition to numerous shops, there are also restaurants, cafés and bars. Icod de los Vinos has good transport connections to major towns such as Puerto de la Cruz (20 km) and the island’s capital, Santa Cruz de Tenerife (56 km). The international airport, in the south of the island, is a 110 km drive on the motorway away.
