Hotel description

The rooms and suites combine the authentic, rural charm of the historic mill with contemporary interiors. 4 double rooms and junior suites offer comfort and are equipped with spacious bathrooms, TV and free Wi-Fi throughout. Fine hardwood floors, elaborate mosaics and tasteful decorations create a warm ambiance. The rustic furniture stylishly contrasts with elegant and modern elements. The country house atmosphere is complemented by the unobtrusive, always attentive staff, a small swimming pool in the courtyard and the in-house restaurant, which serves light, regional cuisine.
Historical: Authentic flair in a restored olive oil mill of the 18th century
Today, the Molino la Nava restaurant occupies the space in the old mill where the olives were once pressed. The historical charm has been preserved with rustic wooden tables, chairs and traditional farm decorations, including original pieces of equipment from the mill. The highlight is the original olive press, which exudes a dignified atmosphere. High ceilings with exposed wooden beams in the rooms and partially exposed stone walls in the bathroom also lend this country house a special touch. The large salon on the ground floor boasts characteristic archways and a cozy fireplace.
Romantic: Suite with canopy bed and private terrace, secluded courtyard with orange trees, a cozy lounge with fireplace
In the 4 junior suites and 4 double rooms, there is an intimate atmosphere that guarantees a high degree of privacy. The 70 square metre master suite, "El Mirador de las Estrellas", is the centerpiece of the Molino la Nava and offers a special ambience of peace and intimacy for couples. The French bed, an open fireplace, bathroom with Jacuzzi and private terrace create a warm and cozy atmosphere. Fresh flowers, fruit bowls and wine can be ordered on request in the room. After savoring a dinner in the hotel’s own restaurant, the spacious courtyard entices visitors to try one of the hotel’s regional red wines on its cozy outdoor patio under a starry sky, surrounded by orange trees. When it is cold outside, the guests of the Molino la Nava can relax in the large salon in front of the crackling fireplace in comfortable leather armchairs or in the reading room.
Country hotel: Down-to-earth ambience and authentic regional cuisine
The Molino la Nava presents itself with a rustic, whitewashed facade at the edge of the Andalusian mountains of Sierra Morena. In the 18th century, olives were pressed and the oil was extracted into bottles in this former olive oil mill. A large courtyard with orange trees completes the impression of an ancient, Andalusian estate. This flair is also reflected in the design of the 8 rooms and suites: the stylish country house furniture, natural stone walls, colourful mosaics and tasteful leather armchairs form a stylish ensemble. Each room comes equipped with air conditioning, heating, a bathroom with shower and bathrobes, TV, telephone, safe and free Wi-Fi. The rustic Mediterranean cuisine of the hotel reflects the simple elegance of this Spanish estate.
Food & drink: Versatile breakfast and home-made Andalusian cuisine
The Molino la Nava offers a comprehensive range of breakfast as a bed & breakfast which can be taken either in the restaurant, on the outdoor terrace, in the room or in the courtyard. During the day, freshly ground coffee and home-made cake are available in the cafeteria. Dinner is available in the hotel’s own restaurant, which is also accessible to the public. Friday to Sunday the owner cooks here personally for the guests. The cuisine reflects the regional environment and mentality: light, Mediterranean dishes dominate the menu, while deer and sea food specialties from the Andalusian coast are not uncommon.
Sport & leisure time: Small swimming pool, golf and tennis, nature exploration by foot and bicycle
The Molina la Nava offers guests a small pool and a sunbathing area with sun loungers in the courtyard. Active visitors can explore the extensive olive groves and cork oak forests nearby on endless walks, bicycle tours or even on horseback. On adventure tours, wild animals such as lynx, deer, and wild birds can be observed. A tennis court is available to guests in the town of Montoro, located 9 km away. Golfers can improve their handicap on the golf course near Córdoba (45 km away). Guests who would like to glimpse the Andalusian countryside from above can book a romantic hot air balloon flight nearby.
Location: Idyllic calm between olive groves and Moorish citycapes
The Molino la Nava is located in the Sierra Morena, a hilly region covered with olive groves in the province of Córdoba in Northern Andalusia. In this secluded location, guests will discover the idyllic tranquility of the Spanish hinterland. The small town of Montoro, which mainly consists of narrow streets and whitewashed houses, is the nearest town, located 9 km away from the villa. The provincial capital of Córdoba is 45 km away. With countless attractions, its Moorish style and frequent festivities, Córdoba is the cultural centre of the region. Its highlights include a visit to the world-famous Mezquita mosque and Cathedral, whose interior is adorned by more than 800 marble columns.
