Hotel description

Anyone longing for the charm of bygone days, with a taste for romance and Italian hospitality, will feel right at home at the Hotel Leone in Montelparo. This old stone structure in the heart of the Marches in central Italy was entirely renovated and outfitted in modern style by owners Tim and Madeline. A total of 8 uniquely furnished rooms with flatscreen TV, sitting nook and laptop safe box offer a perfect place to relax, as does the spacious swimming pool in the garden of this small, romantic estate. A hotel restaurant serves delicious cuisine from a daily menu, while various themed evenings offer extra variety.
Historic Hotel: Tradition & charm
Built in the 15th century, the beautiful structure housing this elegant boutique hotel originally consisted of only two levels. Only in the 20th century was a second level added, after which the building was used as a small hotel. Since 2008 this historical building is in the loving hands of new owners Madeline and Tim, who have clearly invested lots of time in the creative design of this unique locale. Thanks to their efforts hotel guests can now enjoy a swimming pool, tastefully furnished rooms, a beautiful garden, a hotel restaurant, a cozy bar and a beautiful sun terrace. An intimate atmosphere reigns across the board – by the pool, at the bar and on the terrace!
4-star hotel: Comfort between historic walls
It’s evident from the first glance that the Hotel Leone is a high-class establishment, and not just from the harmonious room design: dark wood and sturdy colonial-style furniture couple beautifully with the building’s historic facades and Italian countryhouse charm. Interior spaces are nevertheless impressively modern. The spacious pool, well-groomed grounds and technological amenities are all state-of-the-art. A generous breakfast with fresh fruit and homemade baked goods is served on the beautiful terrace – extra requests are gladly attended to.
Food & Drinks: Italian cuisine
Travelers to Italy should enjoy the advantages of Italian cuisine: the Hotel Leone offers a substantial selection of Mediterranean dishes – fresh fish and colorful vegetables are available, as well as homemade pasta and stone-oven pizza. Freshness is equally valued in the breakfast buffet: fresh-pressed juices paired with fresh-brewed coffee, various kinds of fruit and homemade baked goods. A daily English tea time in the lounge or on the terrace features delicious scones, tea and coffee.
Location: Peaceful & relaxed
The Hotel Leone is situated in central Italian Montelparo in the province of Fermo, in the Marche. The beaches of Cuppra Mirittima are approximately 25 miles away, while the Ancona airport is an hour away by car. The idyllic village of Montelparo offers peace and quiet, historical charm and a hilly landscape for walking and hiking.
