The Tisno hotel is located in a mansion built in 1898, which was officially recognized as a cultural asset. It is run by a young couple who have made the distinguished building a charming boutique hotel. The eponymous town Tisno is picturesquely situated at the narrowest part of the Murter canal whilst the hotel is situated directly at the bascule bridge to the small island of Murter. The classic Mediterranean décor and outdoor pool provide for an all-round, lovely holiday feeling. With its central location it is the ideal place for couples and families to enjoy the wonderful climate of the Adriatic, far away from concrete blocks of the city.
Beach hotel: shallow sandy beaches and idyllic coves
On the island of Murter are numerous beaches ideal for swimming, sunbathing and relaxing. Here, there is something for everyone: from more popular beaches with entertainers to quiet nude beaches to secluded coves. They are all within a few minutes’ walk, such as the Jazina Bay, which is 5 minutes away. Among the beaches, there are both shallow sandy beaches and rugged, rocky coves. If one day you do not want to leave the hotel, you could spend the day at the hotel’s beautiful outdoor pool.
Historic Hotels: historic manor house and medieval buildings
While the house of the Hotel Tisno itself has more than 100 years of history, the origin of Tisno extends as far back as the 15th century - at this time was it first mentioned by name. The older part of Tisno is located on Murter; the newer part on the mainland. History buffs come here at their expense. There are a number of historic sights to admire, such as the Romanesque church of St. Martin in the 13th century and a city wall from the 15th. Also worth a visit is the place of pilgrimage at which the Virgin Mary is alleged to have been seen at Karavaj. 30km away is the town of Šibenik, which, among other sights, has a picturesque old town and the castle of St. Mihovil to offer.

For lunch and dinner there are a selection of cafes and restaurants in the area that serve exciting local food as well as some international specialties.
Sports & Leisure: paradise for water sports enthusiasts and history buffs
Everything that a water sports enthusiast could want: swimming, diving, sailing, surfing and much more is offered in Tisno and Murter. Approximately 35km away is the Krka National Park, which offers hiking and several vantage points. The first trip to make however is absolutely to Tisno itself, in order to get to know know the historical sites of the village.

The hotel is located in the eponymous Tisno coastal village opposite the island of Murter, directly on the Croatian Adriatic coast, halfway between Split and Zadar. Both the nearest beach (1000m) as well as the historical center of Tisno (200m) are only a short walk away.
