The Villa De Duinen was originally built in 1902 and fully renovated. It has managed to maintain its traditional charm while being fully fitted with modern furnishings. Each of the guestrooms is decorated with natural colours and materials, and full of comfortable furniture to create a relaxing atmosphere. The main attraction however is the restaurant, well known across the region for its fine food and popular also among the native population. Not only this, the hotel is situated just moments from the beach, with many rooms offering a lovely sea view.

The A la Carte restaurant at the Villa De Duinen is open to hotel guests and the public alike, so that all can enjoy the delicious dishes cooked up by Dutch master chef Willem Peter van Dreumel. The menu is a carefully chosen selection of gourmet classics, including seafood, fish and meat dishes as well as plenty of vegetarian options. It is therefore fair to say that the restaurant has all the qualities of an excellent gourmet restaurant, without the pretentiousness. Diners are made to feel welcome by professional yet friendly staff, who serve delicious, high-quality meals with a smile and are happy for a quick chat. It’s the perfect combination of fine food and friendly faces.
Beach hotel: 500m to the beach
The Villa De Duinen avoids the gusty sea winds in its perfect location, close to the beach but not directly on it. The beach itself is just a 500m walk away, and a stunning place to visit throughout the year. Featuring beautiful, high dunes at both ends, it is a strip of roughly 13km of fine, light sand that has been consistently recognised at an international level with the ‘Blue Flag’ for its environmental cleanliness.
Romantic hotel: cosiness and indulgence by the sea
The Villa De Duinen is perfect for guests who love to treat themselves and their partners with fine food and comfort. The perfect romantic getaway destination, couples can enjoy long walks along the beach and indulging spa treatments before finishing the day with a delicious 4-course dinner. Once they have retired to bed, guests can expect designer beds, a luxury bathroom and a top-of-the-range flat screen to welcome them home.
Food & Drink: delicious breakfast and fine dining in the evenings
Different to a standard buffet, the Villa De Duinen offers guests a generous selection of breads, croissants, cheeses and cold meats as well as excellent coffee and freshly pressed juices, served straight to the guest’s dining table. For evening meals, the restaurant is open from 6pm until 9.30pm but closed on Sundays.
Sport & Leisure: free access to excellent sport and wellness facilities
One particularly special addition to the hotel service is the access to Azuro Beauty, an ultramodern sport and wellness centre roughly 150m from the Villa de Duinen. It offers guests free use of a swimming pool, beauty spa and sauna area, as well as a fitness suite, squash and tennis courts, and a putting green.
Location: a traditional Dutch bathing spot
The Hotel is located within the borders of the stunning seaside resort Noordwijk, and roughly 500m from the beach. The town centre is also easily reached on foot, and transport connections using the nearby main road are ideal. Plenty of parking spaces are available free charge.
