The Therasia Resort Sea & Spa is probably one of the hottest tips for a romantic vacation in Europe. And that’s not just because it is situated in sunny Sicily. The hotel can be found on the Aeolian island of Vulcano, the blacksmith’s shop to the god of fire in Roman mythology. To cool down just glide into one of the two infinity pools or walk just a few steps down to the crystal-clear Mediterranean Sea.
The Therasia Resort Sea & Spa
It’s not just the location that’s so fantastic, rather the way in which this small luxury hotel gets the most out of it. The hotel is spread over several levels offering unobstructed views of the Mediterranean Sea and the islands just off Sicily. Guests can enjoy the breathtaking views from two large swimming pools, the covered restaurant terrace, or simply from most of the hotel rooms. On the lowest level you’ll find a sundeck surrounded by rocks and with modern loungers and ladder steps into the sea. This is the best seat in the house for watching the spectacular sunsets over the sea. Two hotel restaurants serve delicious Sicilian specialties and a bar mixes the perfect sunset-accompanying cocktail. The icing on the cake is a small spa area which offers a selection of massages and treatments.
