Historic: Stylish family villa from the 18th century with antique interior
The 3 traditional villas of the hotel are situated in the heart of the Tuscan province of Livorno. Dating back to the 18th century, the main villa was built by a noble family from Genoa. Today the ancient furniture, paintings and sculptures that can be found throughout the building remind guests of its noble history. Nestled in the hills of Val di Cornia, the hotel is an ideal starting point for exploring the historic sights of Tuscany, such as the Etruscan city gate in Volterra or the medieval cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta in Pienza. The Etruscan coast offers an incredible wealth of archaeological and architectural relics from the Etruscan period.

The 3 villas within the traditional Tuscan construction have only 31 rooms, creating an intimate and friendly atmosphere. Country Hotel: Villas situated on a hill with views over vineyards and the coast
The hotel is surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and the Tuscan woods which offer the chance to take an extended hike to the nearby medieval village of Sassetta. The 55-hectare plot of land extends along the hills above the valley of Val di Cornia and is also used for vegetable cultivation and housing small livestock. As such, the in-house restaurant serves guests mainly with foods such as fresh fruit and vegetables and self-produced organic olive oil.

The restaurant is also located in the main building of the hotel serving traditional dishes prepared in a sophisticated way. Many of the ingredients used come from the hotel’s own production. The hotel owns a 55-hectare farm on which not only domestic vegetables are planted, but also olive oil is pressed and goats and pigs are bred and humanely looked after. For those who wish to dine outside of the hotel, alternatives in the surrounding villages are available. Lovers of fine cuisine will feel comfortable in the Ristorante Il Castagno in Sassetta.
