This lovely spa hotel lies, as the names suggests, in Brandenburg, or more precisely in Neuruppin, right on the banks of the Ruppiner See. What makes the Resort Mark Brandenburg absolutely unique is the hotel’s own thermal spring, right on the shore of the lake. The Fontane Therme borders the well-kept hotel grounds and all the water is certified mineral water. Moreover, between the hotel and the lake shore, a wonderful garden with a panoramic view of the lake invites you to relax. There are four types of rooms, all convincing in their harmonious decoration in warm, Mediterranean colours and their comfort, with cosy king-size beds, modern technology and elegant bathrooms complete with underfloor heating.
Spa Hotel: spring water pool and a floating sauna
The Fontane Therme in Neuruppin is well-known by fans of wellness. It is worth staying in the hotel for several days just to be able to fully savour the thermal spring. On a shorter visit, there simply isn’t time to try everything that this oasis of wellness has to offer: a diverse range of saunas (including a sauna floating on the lake) and several pools (an indoor pool, a saltwater outdoor pool, a swimming pool and a floating bath). After taking advantage of the spa, you can jump straight into the lake or relax in the overwhelming atmosphere of calm – by the fire in the winter or in the garden in the summer. The repertoire of treatments available spans from Ayurdeva to detox treatments to classic massages. Moreover, there is a broad range of medical treatments, including physiotherapy, health courses and meditation. If you want to get fit, you can hone your body in the modern fitness centre, either under your own steam or with the help of a personal trainer.
Hotel on the Lake: views of the lake and boat trips
The Resort Mark Brandenburg enjoys a magnificent location directly on the shores of the Ruppiner See, the longest lake in Brandenburg. You can take beautiful walks along the shores, weaving in and out of the trees and through parts of the forest. If you want to go all the way around the lake, you can hire bicycles from the hotel. Boats are available for hire nearby, including rowing, sailing and motor boats.
Food and Drink: generous breakfasts and seasonal cuisine
The day begins with a relaxed breakfast in the main restaurant, Parzival, where you can choose items from a menu or take your pick from an extensive buffet. At lunchtimes and in the evenings, light seasonal cuisine with regional influences is served. Or you can sit for the whole day in the Bistro Seeblick, which deservedly gets its name from the huge panoramic windows overlooking the lake. The Bistro serves light, healthy meals, snacks, coffee and cakes.
Location: on the shores of the Ruppiner See
