Baumanière is an enchanting luxurious hotel near the famous village of Les Baux-de-Provence. Lying in the shadow of an enormous rock wall, its historic country house is surrounded by a park with countless old trees, hedges and bushes. At the center there is a well-tended pool with a sunny terrace. Approximately one kilometer away is the rest of the domain that has 54 rooms and suites in its entirety. The hotel restaurants are of the highest quality, known well beyond the borders of Provence. Many hotel guests travel here from afar for Glenn Viel and Jean-André Charial’s cuisine alone, which has been decorated with two Michelin stars. The menu offers various classics of French haute cuisine, all imprinted with the chef’s unmistakable stamp. Seasonal vegetables are taken from the house garden, which guests can visit on request. A special feature is the award-winning wine menu and the special child’s menu with authentic, child-appropriate gourmet dishes. The second celebrated gourmet restaurant which has been awarded with 3 Michelin fourchettes and can be included amongst the most prestigious association of the Relais & Châteaux. The restaurant offers cooking courses under the direction of Michel Hulin, where guests can uncover the secrets of the head chef by learning about French Haute cuisine.

Even breakfast meets this gourmet hotel’s demanding culinary standards. The guests have the choice between dining in the garden or in the hotel and can choose from an inviting buffet or à la carte breakfast. History buffs should absolutely take an excursion to the local castle ruins of Les Baux. Art fans should be sure not to miss the multimedia art show in an old quarry (Carrières de Lumière). Nature lovers will be delighted with a hike through the Val d’Enfer. With many scenic cycle paths through the nature of Provence the hotel’s surrounds is the ideal spot to explore on a bicycle. For this reason, the hotel also offers a bicycle rental service. So you can visit the vineyards and eateries in the area, and also an outdoor swimming pool or the golf course 15 km away. Hotel Baumanière enjoys a picturesque location at the feet of an impressive rock wall in Les Baux-de-Provence. The small village is home to less than 500 inhabitants, but still has the largest castle ruins in France. This is located directly in the centre and dominates the townscape of the medieval village. It’s thanks to this building that the village is one of the most beautiful villages in France known locally as "Les plus beaux villages de France". The village belongs to the National Park of Alpilles, a hilly and lush landscape, and is of particular interest to admirers of rare birds and plants. In close proximity to the hotel, guests will also find the river Rhone, one of the main waterways flowing through France. The shore is accessible in just a few minutes by bike or car.
