Hotel description
The Hotel Villa Ducale is situated 300 m above the Mediterranean Sea on the east coast of Sicily – just under 15km from the foot of Mount Etna. Housed in an old patrician monastery, this romantic hotel has a cozy, Mediterranean flair.
The Hotel Villa Ducale, Italy
The Sicilian Aristocratic Villa Ducale – converted into a romantic hotel in 1994 – still belongs to the family which first built it. The villa has been renovated with a great attention to detail. Each room at this charming honeymoon hotel on Sicily has its one unique style and is filled with romantic and rustic decorative pieces. Wrought-iron four-poster beds, chests of drawers dating back to the 19th century and hand painted closets. Uncovered walls, exposed beams and colorful frescoes complete the Mediterranean ambiance at the Villa Ducale.
The grounds – romantically Italian
What you find on the inside, you’ll also find on the outside – in the private grounds of this romantic hotel. Countless flowers create a peaceful, bright oasis. At the center there’s a terrace with fantastic views over the Bay of Naxos, Mount Etna and the town centre of Taormina.
Breakfast, Sicilian style
In the morning, guests of the Hotel Villa Ducale can expect the tastiest breakfasts on the island – and with good reason, as the Herold Tribune quite rightly pointed out: homemade pastries, fruit and vegetables from the local area and typical specialties from the island of Sicily ensure that every evening you can’t wait for it to be breakfast time again!
