The hotel’s spa covers two floors and includes a 17 square-meter whirlpool, 32 square-meter indoor swimming pool, hamam, sauna and 6 treatment rooms. The 650 square-meter spa area features mineral springs, a solarium, as well as hydrotherapy and aromatherapy. One unique feature is the use of wine and honey from the region during treatments for an unforgettable experience. The tea room, with a fireplace, is perfect for relaxing between treatments. Beauty treatments and spa massages are also available. All this is offered within a stylish modern setting. Spa treatments can be administered in the outside area, where there is also a swimming pool with children’s pool.
4 Star Hotel: Natural, sustainable and luxurious
Hotel Minho’s concept is based around integration with the unique natural landscape of Alto Minho. As such, only natural materials were employed in the hotel’s construction and subsequent renovation, and a key aim of the building is to bring guests closer to the surrounding nature. The wildly romantic landscape, with mountains, forests, valleys, countless rivers and idyllic vineyards, invites guests to relax and enjoy the great outdoors. The hotel offers luxurious comforts in its 60 double and twin rooms, as well as with 5 themed suites that each stretch over two floors. The spacious suites are named after famous artists, including Dali, Warhol and Velázquez, and decorated accordingly. All rooms and suites have a balcony or terrace, comfortable memory foam mattresses, large LCD televisions, minibar, individually controlled air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, a desk and branded toiletries in the bathroom.
Winery Hotel: Private vineyard, exclusive wine bar and fascinating wine tours
Hotel Minho is located on the famous Alvarinho wine route and has its own 6-hectare vineyard. The hotel also organizes excursions to a vineyard 4km away. The region is famous for its full-bodied, ruby-red wines. The hotel offers wine tastings and the in-house wine bar offers the chance to savour old and new wines in a modern and stylish setting. Hotel Minho was designed by the architect Joao Pedro Pereira, who is known for his contemporary style far beyond Portugal’s borders. Above all, he is an expert in energy- and resource-efficient construction. Designers Artur Rebelo and Liza Ramalho are responsible for the slick interiors.

The historic small town of Vila Nova de Cerveira, with its picturesque 17th and 18th century center, is perfect for a stroll and evening entertainment. The lively Valenca do Minho Tui area, with its disco, bars and restaurants, is 7km from the hotel. It is approximately 27km to the nearest beach at Praia de Vila Praia de Ancora. There is also a river beach in nearby Vila Nova de Cerveira with water sports facilities.

Hotel Minho is located on a main road, the Estrada Nacional 13 in Via Mèa, but in quiet surroundings. A forest directly borders the hotel and the views from the building stretch over the mountains and Minho river. The small town of Vila Nova de Cerveira is 6km away, where there is also a train station. It is 100km to Porto Airport.
