The Balcón de Córdoba is situated down a small side street in the historic center of Córdoba. The famous Mezquita is just 50 meters away.
As the name suggests, the Balcón de Córdoba offers wonderful views over the rooftops of this southern Spanish city. And not just from the room balconies, but also from the stylishly furnished roof terrace. As well as being a quiet oasis with panoramic views, this small 4-star hotel also offers 10 tastefully decorated guest rooms, a shady courtyard and a small but excellent restaurant. But best of all is the unique atmosphere that you’ll find in this brilliantly restored historic town house. The architecture which is set around its two internal courtyards provides the character of an Arabic house. Lots of Castilian and northern European elements express the rich culture of the city. The yellow sandstone has been perfectly combined with wicker and wood furniture, glass and textiles in beige, brown and cream colors.
4 star hotel: Comfortable rooms & top service
The rooms available at the Balcón de Córdoba are divided into three categories, all lovingly and tastefully decorated and with modern amenities. The comfortable standard rooms have a small seating area, an extremely comfortable bed and a well-equipped bathroom, perfect for a short stay. If you want a bit more leg room and luxury, book the Junior Suite with terrace where you’ll find a large day bed with sun canopy. The jewel in the crown is the Royal Suite with 75sqm of floor space, fine furniture and a huge glass wall rain shower. Regardless of which room you pick you’re guaranteed very friendly service and lots of nice little extras like bowls of fresh fruit and good-quality organic toiletries in the bathroom.
City hotel: First-class service in a historic setting
To experience the historic charm of Córdoba, the Balcón de Córdoba is ideal for two reasons. Firstly, the hotel building itself has a long history. The typical Arab-Andalusian architecture with its two peaceful courtyards - one of them open, the other covered - is especially beautiful. Secondly, the hotel is located down a small side street in the heart of the old town, a few steps from the Mezquita–Catedral. You can see it and hear the bells from the roof terrace. In the hotel itself you’ll also find lots of archaeological finds that document the history of the city, that were discovered during the restoration of the building.
Food & drink: Andalusian cuisine & tapas service
The small hotel restaurant with its elegant atmosphere and exquisite cuisine blends seamlessly into the overall concept. The dining room is connected via large glass archways to the small courtyard where you’ll find some tables for breakfast and eating outdoors under the orange tree. The cuisine combines Spanish, Mediterranean and Arabic influences with a traditional Andalusian flourish. Also, at any time you like you can have tapas brought to your room.
Leisure & sport: Relaxation & sightseeing
The concept at the Balcón de Córdoba is fully focused on the quiet moments between sightseeing and walks around the old town. The two courtyards and rooftop terrace offer peace and places to sit and relax or read. The hotel is also happy to book city tours for you.
