The former student district of Paris, where Latin was the main language, is now a typical French nightlife district with narrow winding streets and hotels behind historic facades. The cobblestone streets are so narrow that you can hardly get through them by car. An intellectual lifestyle still prevails here - thanks to the local universities and high schools.
