Trenuraghes is a Sardinian coastal village with scarcely more than 1200 inhabitants. The Villa Liberty, the hotel’s main building, stands in its historic town center across from a medieval church. Following an ‘albergo diffuso’ concept, guest rooms are spread between this main building (a beautiful Renaissance villa with a large garden) and other nearby historic houses in the village. Together, they are called Villa Asfodeli. The hotel is run by its owners, functioning as a bed-and-breakfast without a restaurant or other leisure facilities. Nevertheless, a pristine pool with lounge chairs and a broad view of the neighboring valley awaits guests in the villa’s wonderfully idyllic garden.
Romantic Hotel: Run with love in an ideal location
Romance is everywhere in the private and common rooms within the main house, featuring nostalgic, often antique décor. Traditional brightly painted walls framed by crawling plants, knotted trees and blooming flowers create an enchanting atmosphere. Dream wedding ceremonies may be celebrated in here. The panoramic suite should be right at the top of every romantic’s wish list. A private terrace affords an absolutely unforgettable view of the surrounding hillside landscape.
Historic Hotel: Skillfully decorated art nouveau villa
Villa Liberty is named after the Italian term for the architectural style known as art nouveau. Constructed in 1925, it still bears the clear thumbprint of the age after its renovation into a modern hotel. A total of 14 guest rooms are furnished in a style that fits the architecture, from classic to antique, with countless unique furniture pieces, wrought-iron beds, antique cupboards as well as modern upholstered sofas and seats. History permeates the surrounding area, particularly in the directly facing village church from the year 1700.
Bed & Breakfast: Solid breakfast & pizzeria next door
The Villa Asfodeli hotel considers itself a pure bed-and-breakfast. This includes a nicely arranged, expansive continental breakfast with fresh baked goods, various cheese and coldcuts, and sweet treats. For other meals, the service team is happy to recommend other restaurants in Tresnuraghes or other nearby villages. An excellent pizzeria is located just next door.
Sports & Leisure: Mountain bike rentals & panorama pool
Protected by an old stone wall and rows of trees and bushes on the lower level of the garden terrace, the hotel pool is a sight to see. Beyond the small bordering hedge guests are treated to a 180°-panorama view of the surrounding hillside landscape, with its vineyards and holly oak forests. If you feel like exploring the area by bike, lightweight designer bicycles are easy to rent in the hotel itself. Furthermore, the hotel offers excursions on its sail-fishing boat “Sapagnoletta” on request, skipper included.

The Villa Asfodeli is situated 1000 feet above sea level on the outskirts of a village. Behind the hotel there is an excellent view of the area and the sea 5 miles away. In front of the hotel lies a small picturesque village with a church. A car is absolutely necessary. Plenty of parking spaces are available.
