The Vilafoia Alojamento Local is an ideal choice for anyone who loves nature and hiking, and is planning a trip to the Algarve. This really lovely hotel is situated just outside of Monchique, a small historic mining town at the northern tip of the Algarve. It offers 10 modern rooms in the middle of a sea of oak trees, plus an idyllic garden and stunning views!

The quality of the accommodation and service at this contemporary bed and breakfast hotel is just as impressive as its location. It’s situated about 3km further up the mountain from Monchique. But the steep drive will definitely be worth it for its stunning views over the wooded slopes of Mount Foia right down to the coast. The hotel garden and in fact all around the hotel is incredibly peaceful. The house itself is a modern building made from predominantly local and ecological building materials. There are 6 double rooms, 2 suites for families and 2 self-catered studios with kitchenette to choose from. All have a private glass-enclosed balcony or terrace where you can sit on a sunlounger and enjoy the stunning view. The modern room amenities include an iPod docking station, underfloor heating, air conditioning, WiFi and a tiled bathroom.
