Designed by star architect Lawrence Murray Dixon, its gleaming main structure was originally built in the year 1939. Thanks to a fundamental reimagining by fashion designer Todd Oldham at the end of the 90s, the present-day hotel features multi-award winning interior design. In addition to the original 53 guest rooms and suites in the main hotel, another 20 luxury rooms were added to the complex in 2010 with a neighboring building directly by the famous Ocean Drive.

The eponymous South Beach is practically right in front of the hotel door. Only the famous Ocean Drive separates the hotel from all those miles of wide beach. At the hotel’s own beach club and bar, each guest has a sun lounge reserved, included in the room price. Bath towels and sun umbrellas are available for a fee.

A café is housed within the hotel, serving delicious breakfast, light lunch and snacks for all times of day. On the rooftop terrace and in the beach club, guests can always order drinks or snacks. Art fans should absolutely visit the Wynwood Kitchen and Bar, located in the Wynwood art district and run by the owners of the hotel. Surrounded by works by internationally celebrated graffiti artists, guests can enjoy delicious modern cuisine with a Latin American influence.

Among the highlights of The Hotel of South Beach is the stylish rooftop pool with a view out over the roofs of Miami. Additionally, there is a fitness center. Every Saturday morning there is a free yoga lesson.
