The Charlie Hotel is situated in a quiet, leafy area in the heart of West Hollywood and is the perfect base for exploring the many sights the city has to offer.

Movie legends including Charlie Chaplin and Marilyn Monroe are said to have lived in the same spot where you’ll find today’s Charlie Hotel. And it’s easy to believe: The bungalows have a central location between Hollywood and Beverly Hills, just a 20-minute walk from Sunset Boulevard. Each one is fully furnished and surrounded by gardens, offering 2-5 visitors the perfect place to relax away from the hustle and bustle of this glamorous metropolis. The stylishly designed apartments were completely renovated in 2008, but still maintain their original charm.

The apartments are housed in 14 bungalows and are spread over one or two floors. The interiors have a classic, elegant Old Hollywood style and boast beautiful wooden floors, smart colors, lots of white and dark wood. Fit for a movie star! Sheltered verandahs in the inner courtyard are the perfect place to soak up the southern Californian climate without having to venture out. Each apartment also has its own private parking spot (included in the price).

If you want to explore Los Angeles, then there’s no better base for you than the Charlie Hotel. Despite its quiet location, it’s still situated in heart of the action, which also means you can explore parts of this 4-wheel city on foot. You’ll find plenty of bars, restaurants and shops nearby, including the Sunset Strip. In half an hour you can be at Wattles Garden Park, one of the many parks in Hollywood Hills. If you have a car then in good traffic you can reach the legendary Universal Studios in only 20 minutes, and the beaches of Santa Monica in around 30 minutes.
