In the manor house built in 1823, the many facets of the 19 tastefully furnished suites reflect the stately character of the estate for its guests. The 47 rooms and suites at this forest-based residence combine modern architecture with the glamour of the classical story of the castle in an impressive manner. In the prestigious tower, the 26 artfully arranged suites await guests, while the apartment house offers cosy apartments in sizes from 50 to 115 m² for visitors travelling in a larger group. All rooms have magnificent bathrooms and complete multimedia facilities including Wi-Fi, air conditioning, as well as allowing access to the spa and wellness centre with sauna and solarium.

The award-winning 45-hole golf course WINSTONgolf is located about 10 minutes by car from the Schloss Basthorst. In addition to the 18-hole championship course, which is surrounded by lush green hills and several lakes, guests will also find the WINSTONlinks place, which has over 18 holes. This complex is modelled on the famous golf courses in Scotland and was awarded as the best new course in Germany. The fantastic views and the always well-kept English lawn make the sports trip an unforgettable experience. In addition, the golf course also offers a 3 par short course as well as a professional golf school. Reservations can be made in advance at the hotel.
Food & Drink: Delicious breakfast buffet, fine hotel restaurant and stylish lounge
The restaurant is named after the former Dutch Queen Wilhelmina Helena and is located in the forest-based residence of the Schloss Basthorst. On weekdays from 7:30 to 10:30 and on Sunday until 11:00, guests are served an extensive breakfast buffet, which includes a diverse selection of exquisite dishes. On request, breakfast is brought to the room. From 17:30 until 21:30 the chef de cuisine conjures up a true taste sensation in the evening and combines French cuisine with Mecklenburg traditions, seasoned with a mixture of herbs from their own kitchen garden. The famous fine wines from Bodegas Salentein are on offer. If you are peckish in between visit the castle lounge or the magnificent castle terrace, where in addition to the delicious lunches served, the coffee, cakes and homemade ice cream are recommended. The hotel’s atmospheric Cellar Bar offers the perfect way to end the day with whiskey, cocktails and cigars.

In the exclusive 1300 m² spa facility of the castle hotel with its extravagant sauna, landscaped pool with waterfall, modern fitness area and various solaria guests can enjoy relaxing massages and pampering beauty treatments for recreation. The surrounding scenic countryside can be explored by bicycle, canoe or on horseback. Very well constructed and maintained equestrian and bike trails lead past lakes, woods and almost untouched countryside. Also on offer is a day trip of around 20 km to the region’s state capital Schwerin. Here, you can visit the famous fairytale castle or indulge in the atmosphere of the historic old town.
