Hotel description

The Relais Borgo Santo Pietro is a small luxury country hotel in the countryside surrounding Siena. The owners of today’s exceptional hotel discovered it in 2001 as a dilapidated farmhouse, and decided to convert it into a magical spot with plenty of passion and feel for the history of the place. Run as a hotel since 2008, it offers 15 guest rooms giving you an authentic journey through the history of Tuscany. Around the historic building extends a perfectly manicured park landscape with fruit and vegetables to supply the hotel kitchen. Each of the rooms is as pretty as a picture and offers the highest standards in mod-cons. Unbeatable services, exquisite country cuisine, a tree house bar and an on-site spa in a traditional style round off a wonderful stay.
Romantic hotel: Historic flair & romantic ideas
The Relais Borgo Santo Pietro, together with its fantastic well-tended grounds, is a truly romantic place. Each room is furnished with unique pieces, antique furniture and elaborate murals. Whether you’re breakfasting in front of a crackling log fire or soaking in a bathtub surrounded by rustic stone walls, there’s a touch of romance to be found everywhere. The most beautiful love nests are the luxurious Garden Suites, which are tucked away from the main house in the garden. There is a whole range of special services for couples and honeymooners, like enjoying private dinner in the rustic wine cellar.
Nature hotel: Rural location and untouched nature
Around the property, the typical hilly landscape of Tuscany is dominated by agriculture and the occasional village. Just 10km away you’ll find the start of the Chianti region with its sprawling vineyards. Of particular interest to nature lovers are also the nearby nature reserves Riserva Naturale Alto Merse around the river of the same name, and the Riserva Naturale Farma. To explore the local area you can hire bikes from the hotel, plan horse riding or even book a hot air balloon ride.
5 star hotel: High-class facilities & exclusive garden suites
The mix of well-kept rural idyll and stylish luxury is so perfect at the Relais Borgo Santo Pietro that you may never want to leave. The atmosphere in the rooms is authentically historic, while the modern facilities range from an iPod dock to a large music library. The garden suites are especially luxurious with their stunning setting, fireplace and private garden section.
Food & drink: Seasonal Mediterranean cooking & cozy tree house bar
The hotel restaurant Valle Serena has a really professional team to serve you up an unforgettable culinary experience every single mealtime. Choose from a range of seasonal Mediterranean dishes featuring many own-grown produce. A trained sommelier can recommend a wine from the hotel’s cellar. The dining facilities also include a cozy tree house bar with Chesterfield armchairs, open fireplace and terrace.
Leisure & sport: Wellness, wine & tennis
In the former bakehouse of the property there is now a rustic-style spa, where expert hands will pamper you with massage and spa treatments. Outside there’s an idyllic pool. In addition, a variety of activities like horse riding, archery, yoga or garden games such as bocce or croquet can be arranged, as well as tastings of local wines, oil or cheese. There’s also a tennis court.
Location: In the hills of Tuscany
The Relais Borgo Santo Pietro is spread across the historic buildings of an old Tuscan farm, surrounded by gorgeous gardens. It is situated about 35km southwest of Siena.
