Hotel description

Cascais is a traditional, popular vacation resort on the Portuguese coast, about 30 kilometers from Lisbon. The former fishing village is famous for its wonderful beaches and picturesque streets - and for its citadel, now home to the the grandest luxury hotel around.
Exciting design meets old architecture
Whilst renovating the old fortress, architects Gonçalo Byrne and David Sinclair were careful to retain as much of this historic structure as possible but still create a modern, minimalist-style 5 star hotel. The atmosphere is unique, elegant and contemporary but relaxed. Its fascinating combination of old architecture and cutting-edge design alone is worth a visit.
Wellness, fitness, enjoyment
As well as its breathtaking location and design, guests of the Pousada de Cascais can also enjoy a range of leisure activities: watersports, golf, climbing, tennis, the beach and then a relaxing treatment in the hotel’s own spa. Other facilities include a gym and pool as well as a stylish hotel bar and a restaurant that has a good selection of vegetarian meals.
Rooms at the Pousada De Cascais
The 126 rooms (including 18 suites) are more like a movie set with their dominant use of white and sleek designer furniture in muted colors. Nothing here steals the attention away from the star of the show – the sea views. The amenities are faultless and include flat-screen TV with cable and satellite connection, air conditioning and hair dryers in the modern bathrooms.
