The Agriturismo Poderi Arcangelo is nicely situated amid the green hills of Tuscany, right between the historic towns of Gimignano (9 km) and Certaldo (3km). It is thus located in the heart of the world-famous Chianti region.
The country house
The Agriturismo Poderi Arcangelo is, in fact, a tiny little Tuscany village consisting of 4 independent farm houses. You choose! Each one of them has a long history and an individual character of its own.
The Main Farmhouse
The heart of the whole complex, the Capezzano House, dates back to the end of the 16th century. A careful reconstruction in 2004 has left the original structure and harmony of the place intact. A good deal of comfort and welcoming spirit have been added, tough. All guests of the Agriturismo Poderi Arcangelo are welcomed here on their arrival. The special facilities for everyone to make use of are: a restaurant, which has been built in the former stables, a tasting room and sales of wines, olive oil and typical products (Vinsanto, Grappa, jams, organic fruits) that are produced on the Poderi Arcangelo organic farm and last but not least a romantic panoramic terrace.
The surroundings
To make a vacation in Tuscany complete one must not miss out on the incomparable light and environmental atmosphere of the place. You will surely like to absorb the Italian way of life and plunge, now and then, into the great historical towns and cities with their famous sights. The Bed and Breakfast Agriturismo Poderi Arcangelo is the perfect place to discover the pleasures and sights of Tuscany. Located between the historic towns of Certaldo and San Gimignano, it is not far away from Florence, Siena, Volterra, Vinci, Colle Val d’Elsa and Monteriggioni. As you approach the Agriturismo Poderi Arcangelo you will be driving on a small road with cypresses lining up to both sides. On top of any hill you get a fantastic views of the surrounding landscapes of Tuscany. When you arrive here, on the ancient paths of the famous Via Francigena, where pilgrims walking to Rome found hospitality, pull over and observe and breathe the Chianti region for a minute. No matter which season of the year, you will be impressed by the pleasantness of perfumes and the peace of this place.
The Little Eco House
A former hay-loft reconstructed according to ecologically benign building principles, using only natural and ecological materials. The use of magnetic correctors to neutralize the electromagnetic fields guarantee you a cleaned, energized environment, in which you can stock up on positive and natural energy. Furnished with natural eucalyptus wood and beds entirely hand made with studied joints instead of metallic parts and synthetic glues, the little eco house will complete your deep and undisturbed well-being at the Bed and Breakfast Agriturismo Poderi Arcangelo.
Arcangelo House
Farmers who lived in this house, say it was a monastery once, in which charitable monks gave refuge to poor people turned away by the nearby village. Surrounded by vineyards and olive trees, this house is suitable for groups of friends or families who want to spend a relaxed Tuscany vacation together. On the first floor there are 9 bedrooms with private baths and original furniture from the late 18th century and 2 fully equipped kitchens. On the ground floor there is a large communal dining room with fireplace, TV, living room and another large kitchen, a cellar, a panoramic terrace with view of Certaldo and a gazebo to eat outside.
San Raffaello House
A large Tuscan farmhouse divided into apartments and deep in the countryside, overlooking San Gimignano’s towers. This house is ideal for families with children or groups of young friends who prefer a more independent vacation. It provides lots of space for you to make use of. Each apartment has got a secluded area to eat outside or simply to enjoy the beauty of the landscape.
