Historic hotel: Historical ambience inside and out
History buffs will find the Palacio Santa Inés doubly interesting: the small city palace itself is from the 16th century, consisting of two enchanting buildings in the Mudéjar style. A particularly beautiful sight is the Arabic courtyard with columns and a wooden balustrade on the upper level. All along the walls around the courtyard, original wall frescos painted by two students of famous medieval painter Raphael have been unearthed and conserved. Rooms are designed in a cozy antique style with valuable furniture and impressive wood-beamed ceilings. Beyond on all this, the Palacio Santa Inés is nestled in the historic heart of the city, right at the foot of the Alhambra.
Food & Drink: Delicious breakfast and culinary diversity in the neighborhood
Each morning, an excellent breakfast buffet fills the tables of a traditionally furnished breakfast restaurant. When the weather is nice breakfast can also be served on the hotel terrace with a view of the Alhambra. Though there is no restaurant at the Palacio Santa Inés for lunch and dinner, there is a vast culinary selection in the immediate area. One pleasant extra service at the hotel: free coffee or tea available all day long.

Though the hotel does not offer wellness or leisure facilities, the cozy sofas in the peaceful Arabic courtyard are a wonderful place for relaxing in between exploratory tours. There is a wireless internet in the lobby in case you have a laptop with you.
Location: At the feet of the Alhambra
The Palacio Santa Inés is situated beneath the famous city fortress La Alhambra, the defining monument of Granada. From the hotel terrace and some rooms there is a direct view of the castle, which is lit impressively by night, a mere 500 yards away. In the historic Albayzín district, where the hotel is located, cars are only allowed by special permission. Guests arriving by car are advised to park at one of the public parking lots outside the old city and take a taxi to the hotel.
