Nature: Idyllic secluded location in the hotel’s own forest
The Naturresort Schindelbruch is located on the south side of the northernmost mountain range in Germany and nestles at the foot of the 580 m high Auer mountain in the Harz region. Magnificent beech groves surround the resort and invite guests to take extended walks. A consistently implemented sustainability concept allows the integration of high ecological standards in the operating of a first-class hotel. Guests stay here climate neutral. In addition to the spacious rooms in the main building and the adjacent hunting lodges, a hunting lodge "Eichenforst", 15 km away, is also available.

Wellness is actively supported at the Schindelbruch hotel. The right fitness program can be found for each individual guest, ranging from gentle exercise, through to strengthening and ambitious training units – and all developed by sports scientists. Guests can work out in the well-equipped, modern gym overlooking the garden, under professional guidance. After a visit to the sauna village, one feels rejuvenated and can relax in the ecologically heated swimming pool, at 30°C water temperature. Anti-aging and beauty treatments are also on offer.

The hearty Auerbach breakfast buffet is served in the hotel restaurant "Waldteufel" with the salon "Feuerfalter", which offers its guests a multi-course meal or buffet. The garden café and grill restaurant "Jagdhaus Holzeule" invites in historical hunting lodge atmosphere to regional meat specialties from the grill (Wednesday to Saturday). The À la-carte restaurant "Waldteufel", on the other hand, treats guests to healthy cuisine in a rustic natural ambience and the conservatory; on the terrace in good weather. The ’Federgeist’ bar, with its cosy lounge with fireplace and its Vinothek with a range of selected wines, ensures a peaceful end to the evening. Extensive Spa facilities include a spacious SPA area with sauna village (Försterhütte up to 95 °C, Stollensauna up to 100 °C, and Saunarium up to 45 °C), bath house and heated swimming pool. Various relaxation areas offer the possibility to retreat and relax. The Spa is complemented by exclusive active programs, beauty treatments and a modern gym. The preventive measures offered during the Health Week – "Back health", "Exercise" and "Relaxation" - are recognized and promoted by health insurance companies. Numerous hiking trails and guided walks bring guests closer to the unique environment of the Harz. Excursions in the vicinity of the hotel lead to the accesible Joseph’s Cross at the Summit of the Auer mountain, in the nearby spa town of Stolberg or to the northernmost glass factory in Germany, the Glasmanufaktur Derenburg. The sustainably managed, 3000-hectare hunting ground, with vast mixed beech forests, attracts many huntsmen during the hunting season.

The Naturresort’s nearest motorway is the A38, 15 km away, and the next train station, Berga-Kelbra, is also 15 km. Erfurt airport is 100 km away. The small town of Stolberg / Harz (6 km) lends itself to excursions, with its picturesque historic quarter. Those who want to plan a shopping trip can drive to Nordhausen, 27 km away.
And otherwise?: Comfortable and sustainable meeting facilities
For meetings, conferences and seminars, the Naturresort Schindelbruch offers fully equipped meeting rooms from 25 to 75 sqm. A highlight is the large ballroom "Auerberg-diamant", which in addition to space for 150 guests offers a roof terrace with impressive views over the bordering forest landscape. The hotel’s operations, including meetings and conferences, are completely carbon neutral. In consultation with the Naturresort team, conference packages available individually, including drinks, snacks or meals. The framework programme can also be organised with the support of the team. Entertainment offerings include the "torch hike", a "cosy forest hut evening" or "team cooking" with the chef.
