The small 4-star Hotel Montanus is situated at the edge of the medieval city center of Bruges. From here you can easily explore its world-famous old town on foot. If you’re on a city break to Bruges, then the Montanus Hotel is ideal for three reasons: The hotel has an excellent location for being able to explore all of the sights of Bruges on foot, including the Minnewater and park (400m), the Béguinage (300m) and the Grote Markt square (800m). If you’re arriving by car you can make use of the hotel’s private parking which is a huge advantage given how difficult it is to park on the narrow streets in the center of Bruges. Last but not least, the hotel boasts a lush green courtyard garden which is a haven of tranquility with its artfully designed water fountain and lounge chairs, where you can while away your time with a good book.

A day at the Hotel Montanus starts with an excellent breakfast buffet with international and typical Belgian breakfast specialties including waffles, exquisite coffee and delicious cheeses. Eggs can be done however you like them (boiled, fried, scrambled or even as pancakes). The highlight of the buffet is a chocolate fountain. For lunch and dinner, guests can eat at the hotel restaurant Den Heerd in the front building. On the menu here you’ll find fine Belgian cuisine with an emphasis on fish and seafood.
