Einfach toll.

All was very good. The estate was great. The staff was very nice and attentive. The rooms beautiful. All in all a very nice stay!

Michael Georg Schmitt, August 2015

A real gem. Must stay.

Wonderful hotel, tucked away in a private valley, just south of Monemvasia Kastro. Facilities and staff were nothing less than 5-star. Hotel is about 4 years old, having being converted from a (substantial) private villa. Name comes from ancient cistern where natural spring water was collected, and can still be seen today. We had a vaulted ceiling Byzantium Room with a private terrace. Romantic, well equipped with flat screen and beautiful walk-in wet room. Breakfast is in a separate house, down by a the pool. A short walk through the landscaped gardens. Haute cuisine, with many choices, and attentive staff. No hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Hotel description

The Kinsterna Hotel is one of those luxury hotels which can be considered a holiday destination in their own right. If you are looking for a very special accomodation on your trip to Greece include the Kinsterna in your shortlist. First class service in a gorgeously restored Ottoman palace is what awaits you here!
The Kinsterna Hotel
Located in a building dating back to the Byzantine and Ottoman Empires itself this 5 star boutique hotel features fantastic views over the famous Medieval hillside castle of Monemvasia. However, you don’t need to be a graduate historian to enjoy the charms of this 5 star hotel on the Peloponnese. Best proof for this would be a romantic dinner at the building‘s old cistern. Here, you are seated on small glass platforms placed right over the waters surface. Other unique features include a beautiful infinity pool surrounded by ancient stone walls.
